SA LIVESTOCK EXCHANGE DUBLIN REPORT

Sheep – 5 May

Numbers eased off this week as agents offered 5500 lambs and 1000 sheep. Quality was again extremely mixed throughout the offering.

The usual trade and processor buyers were active along with specialty butchers, feeders and restockers with prices generally reflecting an easing trend.

Light Merino stores sold from $130 to $150 with the better lambs fetching $200 to $230 per head. Trade weights ranged from $230 to $245, heavy trades sold from $255 to $265 with extra heavy weights fetching $280 to $310 per head.
