Mellor Olsson Clare celebrates recognition among nation’s best law firms

The comprehensive legal services of Mellor Olsson’s Clare team, led by Callen Bubner, has been recognised in the prestigious 2027 Best Law Firms in Australia rankings.

Best Lawyers® announced its 2027 edition of its Best Law Firms in Australia directory on Thursday, with Mellor Olsson claiming Tier One rankings in Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Trusts and Estates, and Planning and Environmental Law in South Australia.

These are all key specialties in Mellor Olsson’s Clare office, located on Main North Road.

Mellor Olsson Chief Executive Officer Cameron Thomson said the firm was very proud of the recognition, which underlined the importance of regionally-based lawyers.

“These rankings reflect what we value most – trusted advice, strong relationships, and specialist knowledge delivered by lawyers who are leaders in their fields,” he said.

“Succession planning and intergenerational wealth transfer are key legal concerns for farming families in the Mid North.

“This year’s recognition is particularly special with our firm now ranked top tier in Trusts & Estates, Agriculture & Rural Affairs, and Planning & Environmental Law.

“It is a testament to our people and the care they bring to supporting families, businesses, and organisations across South Australia, from metropolitan Adelaide to regional and rural communities.”

Mellor Olsson was recognised across the firm for the strength of its full-service capability across sectors.

It also received rankings for Commercial Law, Native Title Law, Real Property Law, Government Practice, Leasing Law, and Litigation. It is the first year the firm has entered the rankings for Government Practice and Real Property Law.

The firm’s recognition in the Best Law Firms in Australia follows individual Best Lawyers® recognition in April for Anthony Kelly, who was named Lawyer of the Year in Planning & Environmental Law.

Fellow Mellor Olsson lawyers Matt Dorman, Darren Foeng, James McEwen, Nikki Owen, and Tim Mellor also received individual Best Lawyers® recognition in their practice areas last month.
