Networking opportunity for emerging livestock figures

LIVESTOCK SA will host the inaugural NextGen Producers Mixer during LambEx 2026, creating a networking opportunity for the next generation of South Australia’s livestock industry.

The event brings together young and emerging producers, creating space for connection, conversation and future industry leadership.

The free event, delivered in partnership with Tara Farms and hosted at William Buck, has been designed to remove barriers to participation and ensure young producers can engage with their peers, and industry leaders in a meaningful way.

Livestock SA Chair Gillian Fennell said the inaugural event reflects a clear commitment to strengthening the pipeline of future leaders in the red meat and wool industry.

“This is about creating space for the next generation to build networks, share experiences and feel connected to their industry,” she said.

“By making this event free and highly accessible, we’re ensuring young producers, regardless of where they are in their journey, have the opportunity to be part of the conversation.”

The NextGen Producers Mixer will feature an informal Q&A with Tara Farms, led by Ms Fennell, providing insight into building a profile, engaging with industry networks and navigating the challenges and opportunities facing young producers today.

The event forms part of Livestock SA’s broader presence at LambEx 2026.

The NextGen Producers Mixer will be held on Wednesday 8 July at William Buck in Adelaide, running from 5pm to 6.30pm. Attendance is free, with registrations encouraged due to limited capacity.
