70 years and still trucking

This year marks 70 years of a Mid North company that has kept goods moving throughout the region, and the state.

SC Heinrich and Co started in 1954 when Stan Heinrich bought his first commercial truck, which was used to transport grapes and other local produce.

Since then the company has accumulated three generations of business and experience, consolidating businesses in several areas of the trucking industry.

Stan retired after 50 years in business and remained actively involved for a further six years before he passed away in 2010.

Today, SC Heinrich and Co is operated by brothers Malcolm and Robert Heinrich, assisted by brother Andrew and Malcolm’s children Sally-Anne, Samuel and Alexander.

SC Heinrich and Co has become a trusted name for all things transport related, from small one-way pick up and delivery through to long term, multi-truck contracts for private customers, businesses or even government departments.

The truck fleet includes Scania prime movers, tippers, ramp trucks and water trucks, with a variety of trailers including end tippers, quad trailers, side tippers, flat tops and low loaders.

The company also incorporates an earthmoving and quarrying business, and has also become a one-stop shop to provide all earthmoving and quarry related services.

SC Heinrich and Co’s earthmoving experience has included dam construction, building and winery sites, vineyard construction and agricultural land care.

When people see the familiar bright green logo SC Heinrich and Co logo on the side of one of the vehicles, they can be assured that what they needed to get done will be done and efficiently.

The company provides a variety of heavy plant for hire such as trucks, scrapers, excavators, dozers as well as a mobile crushing plant.

It also has a broad range of quarry products, which are sourced and produced at various quarry sites located across Clare area and the Mid North.

As well as being a family business, SC Heinrich and Co is also community minded and is an active supporter of a number of local community and sporting clubs, including North Clare Football and Netball Club, South Clare Sports Club, Rotary Club of Clare, Clare Golf Club, Clare A and H Society and Clare Regional History Group.

With 70 years of expertise behind it, and an ever growing business which commits to the Mid North region, consider the trusted name of SC Heinrich and Co for all your transport and earthmoving needs.
