Easter races back at Clare

Clare Valley Racing Club is once again providing entertainment for the Easter weekend as the Platinum Ag Easter Races take place this Saturday, March 30.

The Easter Race meeting is vital to the club’s operations and has developed into a great family day for a relaxed and safe gathering during the Easter break.

A seven race card of quality racing is in store for patrons, with a range of entertainment for people to enjoy.

This includes face painting and Kelly Sports for KIDS for the younger audience, while there will also be plenty of food options including Spuds n More food Van, Potato On A Stick van, Beyond India, burgers, nachos, Yiros On The Run, Curly Goose Picnic Garden, Barrell Racing Association barbecue and Cafe2Go Coffee Van.

In a first for the event, Clare Higher Times presents a Silent Disco from 1pm to 6pm at the club, for people to dance to their favorite tunes whilst backing a winner.

There will be four bookmakers and TAB available for punters to use, and fully licensed bar facilities are open with Jim Barry Wines, Saw Mill Gin and Coopers Beer for sale.

Overnight camping is available for people to have fun and stay safe, and shuttle buses from Clare to the track and return will run.

Remember to also dress your best with Fashion at the Races taking place, and also pick up some club merchandise for sale, pick up a discounted membership for next year and watch all racing on big screen video.

Gates open at 11.30am for a full day of entertainment.

In pleasing news for the club, its marquee and hospitality options are sold out, but there is plenty of room on the lush lawns to enjoy the day.

In other news the club has received funding from Racing SA, and has been able to concrete stable floors to improve conditions for the equine athletes, and further the roof was raised on another stable block to improve safety for horses.

Racing SA and all country racing clubs have developed a 10-year plan of infrastructure, servicing and improvement across the state.
